Handmade tablet woven belt in 100% Wool. Green yarn color in combination with natural white and yellow. A color that goes particularly well with the Fryd apron dress in evergreen color.
This belt is 2.5 Meters long and 2 cm wide. Tassels on each end. Inches: 98.42 long.
Tabelt woven belts has possibly occurred in the Nordic countries as early as the Bronze Age. Among the finds in Norway, the best known is from the Oseberg ship, which dates to the year 834, where a finished setup for a tablet woven belt with 52 pieces was found. In Norway, the tradition is primarily kept alive through the weaving of belts and ribbons for national- and folk costumes.
