Tablet Woven Belt

Handmade tablet woven belt in 100% Wool.  Brown and ochre yarn color. A color that goes well with all the Fryd apron dresses. 

This belt length: 2.5 Meters (98.42 inches).            

4 cm wide. Tassels on each end. 

Tabelt woven belts has possibly occurred in the Nordic countries as early as the Bronze Age. Among the finds in Norway, the best known is from the Oseberg ship, which dates to the year 834, where a finished setup for a tablet woven belt with 52 pieces was found. In Norway, the tradition is primarily kept alive through the weaving of belts and ribbons for national- and folk costumes.
