Jörmungandr – or the Midgard-Serpent – was in Viking and Germanic mythology one of Loki’s children and encompass the entire world.

She is the arch-nemesis of Thor, who would often attempt to fish for her. It is only after she instigates the end of the world – Ragnarök – however that he is finally able to destroy her with his hammer, only to succumb from her poison shortly afterwards.

The amulet is in the Urnes-style, the last of the Viking artstyles and used ca. 1050-1150. The size is 3,3cm X 2,7cm. Included in the package you’ll receive a 2mm thick strap made from black imitation leather.
