This belt bag is inspired by medieval models of Hungarian tarsoli bags, which were common among the Magyars and East Vikings in the Viking Age.

In the middle of the bag flap there is a central decorative dragon ornament as an expressive eye-catcher, which is complemented by an equally decorative clasp. The bag is closed with a small buckle at the front.

Magyar belt bag is available in brown cowhide with decorative fittings in brass or silver.

Size: 21 x 15.5 cm with a depth of 4 cm.
The passage for the belt is 5 cm wide.

The belt bag is quite spacious, and in addition to a large wallet and a bunch of keys, it can easily hold a smartphone with a screen size of up to 6 inches.

Viking age bags with Magyar Tarsoly metal fittings are not only known from the eastern regions such as Ukraine and Russia, but were also found in the Viking settlement Birka in eastern Sweden. It is believed that the origin of these special Viking bags lies with the nomadic horse people of the Magyars in what is now Hungary, where such so-called Tarsoly bags were very common as part of the traditional costume. Due to the extensive trade voyages of Eastern Vikings from the 8th to the 10th century, these Magyar belt bags reached Scandinavia via the great rivers of the eastern steppes. Characteristic of Magyar Viking belt bags were lyre-like designs and metal fittings, so-called Tarsoly, on the pocket flap.
