It serves as an excellent outer garment, protecting the head, neck, and shoulders from the elements. The distinctive Skjoldehamn attire is an important part of Northern Norwegian—and likely also Sámi—clothing traditions, as there are many striking similarities between this archaeological find and Sámi textile heritage. The Skjoldehamn hood was the very first garment created by Klesarven, and now it is finally back in new colors.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAvailable in two sizes: small and large. Some prefer a snug fit around the head and neck, while others prefer a larger, more open style that covers more of the upper body. No chemicals are used in the dyeing process; this particular shade of green is achieved using calendula (marigold), turmeric, and indigo.
