Lodin Viking tunic in wool, brown.
A man’s outfit in the Viking age usually featured a tunic pulled over the head with long sleeves and a length that varied according to fashion, wealth, and social status.
The general length in the Viking age varied from about mid-thigh in the early period, lengthening to just above the knee by the end, but the wealthiest could go as far as calf-length. The longest garments signified wealth through the sheer amount of fabric required, the longer garments also indicated that the wearer could hire people to do more demanding work for them.
Under the tunic Vikings would generally wear trousers with wool leg wraps, sometimes fastened and decorated with trim or penannular brooches.
The Lodin tunic can be combined with the Odin undertunic in cotton or the Hugin linen tunic. We have matching leg-wraps.
