The original for this replica was found in Cambridgeshire, England, but this type of brooch is seen a number of other places as well. The decoration is in a transitionary style between the Borre- and Jelling-styles and thus likely from the early half of the 10th century.
Scholars believe it was mostly used to hold the neck opening together but could also be used to pin small cloaks.

The dimensions is 3,5 cm in diameter and roughly equal to the original.
You can choose between nickel free bronze or silvered bronze.
